The Oakhurst Legal Group, a nationally recognized Charlotte, North Carolina firm, has been helping several world-class athletes from different industries in obtaining visas necessary for their travel in the United States. Just recently, we successfully assisted the world-class martial artist Piotr Niedzielski in getting his P-1 visa.
In Mr. Niedzielski’s petition for his P-1 visa classification, First Round Management US served as the US agent petitioner for Mr. Niedzielski’s foreign employer First Round Management Spain.
A Polish national, Piotr Niedzielski has phenomenal talent and a supremely impressive array of career achievements as a World Class Martial Artist. His extraordinary talents have been requested and sought after by the UFC, the iKon Fighting Federation, Professional Fighters League, and industry experts for his exquisite talent as a World Class Martial Artist. His rankings and international press coverage clearly demonstrate that he has gained acclaim around the world. In light of Mr. Niedzielski’s outstanding achievements and international renown, his services have been requested by the First Round Management, allowing him to serve as World Class Martial Artist.
Mr. Niedzielski has had an exceptional career. He has a total of 14 wins and only 4 losses. He has been a Medalist of the Polish Championships in classic wrestling. He was also the Polish Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and was the Medalist of the Polish Championships in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (purple stripes). One of the highlights of his career was his major win in his fight against fighter Mateusz Zawadzki at Babilon MMA 4 in Elk, Poland. This win was also covered in leading sports sites like ESPN.
As a professional fighter, Mr. Niedzielski is entitled to the P-1 visa classification because he will be temporarily present in the U.S. for an athletic competition.
Moreover, P-1 visa classification is available for internationally recognized individual athletes coming to the United States to participate in a specific athletic competition in a sport in which he or she is internationally recognized. An athlete is internationally recognized if he or she has a high level of achievement in a sport, demonstrated by a degree of skill and recognition substantially above that ordinarily encountered. The athlete’s achievement must be renowned, leading, or well-known in more than one country. The competition(s) they wish to participate in must have a distinguished reputation and be at an internationally recognized level of performance such that it requires the participation of an internationally recognized athlete.
