In this Global Mobility Update, Oakhurst Legal Group Lawyers, Sherrod and Pryde go over the publicly available information on the COVID-19 travel restrictions and possible exemptions to the vaccination requirement. The attorneys also discuss what options might be available for persons with existing National Interest Exemptions from the State Department or Customs and Border Protection.
For the past 2 years, many countries in Europe, Brazil, South Africa, India, and China were subjected to travel restrictions to the United States due to the COVID-19 outbreak. These restrictions meant that most foreign nationals could not travel to the United States if they were physically present in these countries within 14 days of attempted entry to the United States. Recently, the Biden Administration announced that these restrictions are going to be lifted for fully vaccinated individuals.
In this video Oakhurst Legal Group visits the official website releases of both the White House and the Center for Disease Control (“CDS”) to make sense of who can be exempt, how to apply for vaccine exemptions, and how existing national interest exemptions (“NIE”) will be treated after November 8, 2021.
